AB	De zonen [van] Juda: Er en Onan en Sela; [deze] drie zijn hem geboren uit de dochter van Sua, de Kanaänitische. En Er, de eerstgeborene van Juda, was slecht in de ogen van de HEER, daarom doodde Hij hem.

Trans.	bənê yəhûḏâ ‘ēr wə’wōnān wəšēlâ šəlwōšâ nwōlaḏ lwō mibaṯ-šû‘a hakən^a‘ănîṯ wayəhî ‘ēr bəḵwōr yəhûḏâ r^a‘ bə‘ênê yəhwâ wayəmîṯēhû:

AC	ג בני יהודה ער ואונן ושלה--שלושה נולד לו מבת שוע הכנענית ויהי ער בכור יהודה רע בעיני יהוה--וימיתהו {ס}
ASV	The sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah; which three were born unto him of Shua's daughter the Canaanitess. And Er, Judah's first-born, was wicked in the sight of Jehovah; and he slew him.
BE	The sons of Judah: Er and Onan and Shelah; these three were his sons by Bathshua, the Canaanite woman. And Er, Judah's oldest son, did evil in the eyes of the Lord; and he put him to death.
